Welcome to The House of Wabi Sabi. Built in 1882 – it once served as a coach house for a local dairy and an Inn for the weary pilgrims. Boasting 4 double bedrooms, WS House is packed full of period character more akin to bygone times from a Sherlock Holmes novel. The guestrooms are accessed by an old stone staircase, featuring newel posts made from the remnants of old railway sleepers during the remodelling of Earlsfield train station in 1890, after the tragic train crash that killed ten. The deeds to ‘The Coach House’, still to this day, holdfast the covernants that prohibit shelter to guests that carry smallpox. Climb the spiral staircase to discover the airy loft-room and roof terrace. Look out over ‘Mary Poppins’ rooftops and listen for the raucous applause from the eruptions from the ‘All England Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club’. So come and experience the balance between history and modern comforts in this unique sanctuary here at Wabi Sabi House.
